Cassava flour, dried cassava root and cassava meal in diets for growing and finishing pigs

Cassava flour, dried cassava root and cassava meal in diets for growing and finishing pigs

Arquivos da Escola de Veterinaria da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais 34(3): 529-536

During 2 growing stages, from 20 to 35 and thereafter to 60 kg, and finishing, to 90 kg, 84 pigs had control feed of maize, soya bean oilmeal, vitamins and minerals, or with 50 or 100% of maize replaced by cassava flour, root or meal. All treatments within stages were equal in energy and, by adjustment of soya content, were equal in crude protein. Maize oil and methionine were added to all feeds containing cassava.
