Changes in the systematic position of the cestodes Aploparaksis diminuens Linstow, 1905 and A. acanthocirrus Deblock et Rausch, 1968

, : Changes in the systematic position of the cestodes Aploparaksis diminuens Linstow, 1905 and A. acanthocirrus Deblock et Rausch, 1968. IX Konferentsiya Ukrainskogo Parazitologicheskogo Obshchestva Tezisy dokladov Chast' 5: 13-14

Type specimens of A. diminuens (Geneva), A. acanthocirrus (USA) and A. andrei (Moscow) were examined and their systematic positions considered. The insufficient original description of A. diminuens led to different cestodes being included by various authors (Spasski, Rysavy, Spasskaya & Spasski) under this name. A more detailed examination of the type specimens shows A. diminuens to be a synonym of A. brachyphallos.
