Declines in age-specific coronary and cerebrovascular mortality and changes in consumption per head of cigarette tobacco, fluid milk and cream, butter, eggs, animal fats and oils, vegetable fats and oils, and fish in USA between 1963 and 1980 are described, as are epidemiological studies of risk factors for atherosclerosis.
