, : Characteristics of aphthovirus strains isolated from buffaloes (in Brazil). Arquivos do Instituto Biologico, Sao Paulo 47(1/2): 19-22

Strains of type C virus obtained from the oesophageal-pharyngeal mucus of 7 apparently healthy buffaloes were propagated in porcine IB-RS-2 and in guinea pigs. Plaques in cell culture were larger than those produced by the "Indaial" vaccine strain of type C3 aphthovirus.
