Characteristics of fenvalerate in controlling the citrus leaf miner Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton (Lepidoptera: Gracilariidae)

, : Characteristics of fenvalerate in controlling the citrus leaf miner Phyllocnistis citrella Stainton (Lepidoptera: Gracilariidae). Entomology and Zoology 17(2): 284-286

The authors observed that fenvalerate applied in a citrus grove in Japan for the control of the leaf-miner Phyllocnistis citrella Stnt. also reduced damage by the pest in the adjacent untreated area. Field and laboratory tests were carried out in 1979 to investigate further the characteristics of the control afforded by this pyrethroid, as compared with that afforded by an organophosphorus compound (phosmet).
