Characteristics of soils in a stone-free surficial deposit in central Utah

, : Characteristics of soils in a stone-free surficial deposit in central Utah. Soil Science Society of America Journal 46(4): 777-781

Particle-size distribution, x-ray diffraction, organic carbon, and calcium carbonate equivalent were measured on selected Calciorthids and Camborthids formed in stone-free surficial deposits on a structural plain in east-central Utah. Mylar balloons were tracked with theodolites to determine the circulation of prevailing winds over the mountain slopes and adjacent land forms.
