Solar collectors for air heating can also be used for drying or finishing farm crops. Their effectiveness and the temp. of warmed air depend on design air flow rate, and environment temp. An analysis of the factors influencing the design of air solar collectors to be used for hay finishing is given and the possibility of choosing various absorbers and air canal shapes and the effect of transparent covers are discussed.
