Characterization of water uptake by two varieties of rainfed rice in a plot trial
In field trials in Ivory Coast in 1979, water uptake from different depths in the soil profile and water consumption during drought after panicle formation were compared in the 2 upland rice IRAT 13 and Iguape Cateto. Daily measurements were made of soil m.c. and water pressure and hydraulic characteristics at various depths in the soil for 20 days.
