, : Chemical and pharmacological studies of the plant Ervatamia crispa (syn. Tabernaemontana crispa - Apocynaceae). Current Science 51(15): 738-739

Extracts were made from dry root powder obtained from mature understorey trees collected in Trichur, Kerala. Some 34 g of basic (alkaloidal) material was obtained from 1130 g of powder. Column and thin-layer chromatography of the basic fractions yielded 3 pure alkaloids for which analytical data are given, and 6 other components (3 homogeneous).
