Chemical composition of natural feed and growth of carp in the second year of life in different trophic conditions. 1. Growth of carp in the second year of life

, : Chemical composition of natural feed and growth of carp in the second year of life in different trophic conditions. 1. Growth of carp in the second year of life. Roczniki Nauk Rolniczych, H 99(4): 137-154

1. Two pond were stocked with carp weighing 47 to 59 g at 440 and 1666 or 2267 carp/ha. Water temperature was 20 deg C or more in July and August in 1964 for 27 days, in 1965 for 17 days and in 1968 for 24 days. Average daily gain at the lower stocking density was 6.8 g in 1964, 3.5 g in 1965 and 5.8 g in 1968; at the higher density it was 2 g in 1965 and 0.6 g in 1968.
