3. Estimations were on carp from the ponds, and seasons, described in Part 1. Average body composition per cent of bodyweight at low stocking density in 1964, 1965 and 1968 was: dry matter (DM) 20.4, 19.4 and 20.9; protein 15.7, 14.8 and 13.7; fat 2.6, 2.4 and 3.3. At high stocking density the composition in 1965 and 1968 was: DM 19.2 and 19; protein 14.4 and 13.4; and fat 1.9 and 1.0.
