Application of 5 kg beta -BHC + 15 kg simazine, 5 kg Dilor + 10 kg Caragard or 3 kg phosalone + 10 kg Caragard/ha was effective against both grape phylloxera and weeds in vineyards for 3 yr. Caragard rate should be increased to 12-15 kg/ha to increase its effectiveness against Sorghum halepense, Cynodon dactylon, Agropyron repens, Convolvulus arvensis and Cirsium arvense.
