In tests on soyabean in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil for the control of larvae of Anticarsia gemmatalis Hb., the best results (more than 80% mortality 12 and 48 h after application) were obtained with carbaryl, chlorpyrifos (chlorpyrifos-ethyl), endosulfan, fenitrothion, parathion-methyl, monocrotophos, trichlorphon, triazophos and endrin.
