Chemical desiccation of wheat plants as a simulator of post-anthesis stress. I. Effects on translocation and kernel growth
In a field trial wheat Lakhish, Cajeme, V591-51 and V582-58 were grown under non-stress conditions and were sprayed with a chemical desiccant, magnesium chlorate, 14 days after anthesis. The treatment induced earlier stem DM loss than the control in Lakhish and V591-51.
