Chemical treatment of cereal straw

, : Chemical treatment of cereal straw. Lucrarile Stiintifice ale Institutului de Cercetari pentru Nutritie Animala 9/10: 289-301

Steers (240) were given a diet with mixed feed (concentrate, maize cobs and urea) 40, molasses 5 and straw 55% which was unpelleted, pelleted, unpelleted and treated with 30% sodium hydroxide, or pelleted and treated with NaOH (10 litres/100 kg straw) for 184 or 185 days.
