Chemical weed control in glasshouse ornamentals: carnations, chrysanthemums, freesias

The most important weeds in the glasshouse ornamentals in this experiment were Amaranthus albus, Capsella bursa-pastoris, Chenopodium album, Ambrosia elatior, Galinsoga parviflora and Digitaria sanguinalis. In carnations the best weed control was obtained with Tenoran (chloroxuron) at 300 g + Adol (lenacil) at 200 g/1000m2, applied after the establishment of rooted cuttings.
