Chemical weed control in southern forests

, : Chemical weed control in southern forests. Weed control in forest management Proceedings of the 1981 John S Wright Forestry Conference [Holt, HA; Fischer, BC Editors]: 116-120

Hexazinone is registered for control of hardwood spp. invading pine sites although various formulations of triclopyr and glyphosate are under review for autumn application. Crown reduction of hardwood spp. 2 yr after herbicide application ranged from 42% to 99% after treatment with different formulations of triclopyr for site preparation and from 77 to 99% after their use for pine release.
