Chemiluminescence measurements in parasite models, review (Nematospiroides dubius, resistant rats (in contrast to susceptible mice) mounted strong peritoneal granulocyte reaction resulting in marked increase of chemiluminescence (CL) and enhanced killing of antibody or complement coated infective larvae; Plasmodium berghei, peritoneal macrophages from normal mice produced CL response to lysed infected erythrocytes which was potentiated in presence of immune serum and after activation of macrophages by supernatants of spleen cell cultures from immune mice, P. berghei infection had strong suppressive effect on CL activity of spleen cells to zymosan particles)
