Immersion treatment in water at 51.7 deg C for 5 min (HWT) or 1000 ppm solutions of phenamiphos, oxamyl or carbofuran were evaluated for control of M. javanica in rooted grapevine cuttings. The effect of varying times of chemical treatment (15 to 60 min) and temperature (5 deg C to 24 deg C) was also tested. A bioassay showed that immersion in phenamiphos for 60 min at 16 deg C or 30 min at 24 deg C eradicated M. javanica.
