Cooling gradients across pens in a finishing piggery

Cooling gradients across pens in a finishing piggery

Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research 28(3): 235-245

In a finishing piggery, cooling gradients between the excretory and lying area of the pen are known to influence pig behaviour and performance. This influence is quantified in a series of 3 papers, the first of which details the measured cooling gradients and environmental conditions imposed on the pigs by 3 selected air flow patterns.
