The first part of this thesis reviews the diagnosis of Nairobi sheep disease (NSD) and other virus diseases of domestic animals by serological methods. The second part describes the application of different methods to demonstrate antibodies against NSD virus (NSDV). A modified indirect haemagglutination (IHA) and an improved indirect fluorescent antibody technique (IFAT) were used.
