Detection of Corynebacterium sepedonicum in seed potatoes imported in 1979-80

Detection of Corynebacterium sepedonicum in seed potatoes imported in 1979-80

Informatore Fitopatologico 32(9/10): 51-54

No visible symptoms due to C. sepedonicum were seen on samples imported into Italy, but in tests by immunofluorescence staining 1 Austrian and 2 Dutch samples were positive to a differential dilution of antiserum. Since this method alone is not sufficient for detecting latent infection the 3 positive samples were also tested on eggplants.
