Early course of infection in susceptible and resistant strains of mice, using [3H]uridine-labeled Trypanosoma brucei subsp. brucei

Early course of infection in susceptible and resistant strains of mice, using [3H]uridine-labeled Trypanosoma brucei subsp. brucei

Infection and Immunity 36(2): 525-530

Trypanosoma brucei brucei of high and low virulence in Swiss-Webster mice (susceptible) and Peromyscus maniculatus (resistant), radioisotopic technique utilizing 3Huridine developed to determine tissue distribution of parasites, results suggest that avoidance of phagocytosis may be important virulence factor of T. b. brucei and contributes to variation observed in species and strain susceptibility to trypanosomiasis
