Significant treatment interaction was detected in a nursery trial with methyl bromide-fumigated or non-fumigated soil and 4 inoculation treatments (Pisolithus tinctorius, Suillus bovinus, forest soil and non-inoculated). Pinus taiwanensis seedlings grown in fumigated nursery soil with forest soil inoculum were larger, had more ectomycorrhizae and weighed at least twice as much as those grown in any other treatment.
