Abstract
For 310 days bull calves were given complete feeds or maize silage and pellets. Average daily gains were 1.027 and 1.075 kg and intakes per kg gained were of complete feeds 9.5 kg and of maize silage 11.8 and pellets 5.1 kg. Because of lower cost of feeds per kg gained and lower consumption of cereal grains, the feed of maize silage and pellets was preferred to complete feeds.
