High pressure animal waste pumping

High pressure animal waste pumping

Paper, American Society of Agricultural Engineers (82-4579): 7 pp

A summary is presented of the latest equipment required for pumping liquid manure under high pressure. The 3 major factors are: the material must contain a min. 89% liquid, preferably 93-95%; agitation must be completed before any pumping or hauling - and currently available agitation equipment is often inadequate; storage facility design is very important with regard to agitating and pumping - sometimes there are insufficient access areas, or the storage area has been dug too deeply.
