This account of a recent study tour of Finland includes information on the Valio dairy cooperative enterprise constituted by 140 member cooperatives with just under 80 000 milk producers and the range of milk products manufactured including the highly successful acidophilus milk and recently introduced milk shakes in Tetra King packages, 15 variants of yoghurt and cream-based liqueurs.
