Histological responses of peanut germplasm resistant and susceptible to Cylindrocladium crotalariae in relationship to inoculum density

Histological responses of peanut germplasm resistant and susceptible to Cylindrocladium crotalariae in relationship to inoculum density

Phytopathology 72(9): 1250-1256

Taproots of 9 groundnut entries, including susceptible (Florigiant and NC2) and resistant (NC3033, NC3033 X NC2, NC3033 X Florigiant, Florigiant X NC3033, Argentine, Argentine X Florigiant and Florigiant X Argentine) germplasm, inoculated in the glasshouse with 1, 2 or 4 microsclerotia, showed no qualitative histological differences in the basic formation of original or additional taproot periderms or in the suberization of periderm.
