Histopathological studies on the brain and lymphoid organs in swine fever. III. Encephalitis in pigs and rabbits

This study was undertaken to clarify the histopathological changes in pigs naturally infected with swine fever. Microscopic observations of the brain as well as clinical observations were carried out in both naturally and experimentally infected pigs. Electron microscopically the vascular cuffings of the brain were also observed. In addition, clinical and pathological studies were carried out in rabbits inoculated with "ALD", lapinized and field strains.
