Hobbit, a new semidwarf soybean with broader adaptation

Hobbit, a new semidwarf soybean with broader adaptation

Ohio Report 68(2): 24-26

Soyabean Hobbit is described in terms of origin, habit and recommended production practices. During 1977-80 trials, mean yield when grown in 30-in rows was 55.7 bu/ac compared with 51.4-56.1 bu/ac for 4 other determinate semidwarf and it is suggested that better stands of Hobbit can be obtained under adverse conditions.
