Holidays and the meaning of life; report of a study

Holidays and the meaning of life; report of a study

Vakantie en zinervaring; verslag van een onderzoek: 313

The discussion centres around whether the holiday situation is conducive to experiencing the ultimate meaning of people's personal existence. 118 holidaymakers, between 25 and 50 years old, with children, in four camping sites in the Netherlands in the period 6/8-2/8, 1980, were interviewed. Statistical analysis leads to distinguishing three types of experience of the meaning of life and five types of holiday experience.
