Hormonal control of assimilate movement and distribution

Hormonal control of assimilate movement and distribution

Monograph, British Plant Growth Regulator Group (6): 65-84

Evidence, including studies on endogenous hormone levels and the effects of exogenous plant growth regulators, for hormonal control of assimilate movement and partition in plants is presented. The mechanism of the hormone effects is considered in relation to the loading of assimilates at the source and effects at the sink end of the phloem pathway.
