Field-plot tests were carried out in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, in the rabi season of 1977-78 on the resistance of a total of 115 sorghum entries to Oligonychus indicus (Hirst) and the relationship between such resistance and resistance to Atherigona soccata Rond. Several lines showed a high level of resistance to the mite; these included CSH-5, CSH-6, CSH-9, SPH-80, CSV-5, 2077B, IS 3687, SPV 106, SPV 135, SPV 192, SPV 220, SPV 222, SPV 224 and SPV 265.
