Host testing, distribution, and pathogenicity studies of Verutus volvingentis, a nematode parasite of Diodia virginiana

Host testing, distribution, and pathogenicity studies of Verutus volvingentis, a nematode parasite of Diodia virginiana

Proceedings, Soil and Crop Science Society of Florida 41: 115-118

In a survey of 266 soil samples from 13 counties in Florida, USA, V. volvingentis was present in 98. 22 species of nematode found in wet land soil associated with D. virginiana are listed. Out of 11 host plants tested, V. volvingentis reproduced only on Ludwigia peruviana in addition to its primary host, D. virginiana.
