Host-parasite relationships

Host-parasite relationships

Report of Long Ashton Research Station, 1981: 130-134

Work is reported on the mechanisms of disease resistance in plants including the nature of host-pathogen specificity (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum on Phaseolus vulgaris), mechanisms of phytoalexin elicitation; resistance of oat leaves to infection by Pyrenophora teres; infection of barley leaves by P. teres; and antifungal compounds from the wood of trees infected by Chondrostereum purpureum.
