Hot water from warm milk - a contribution to energy conservation

Hot water from warm milk - a contribution to energy conservation

Monatshefte fur Veterinarmedizin 37(9): 335-337

On a 1930-cow dairy unit, heat from milk is recovered using 2 water condensers for each refrigeration unit, so arranged as to produce water at about 50 deg C. From 9 May to 15 Sept. 1981 total daily milk production averaged 18 000 l and warm water usage averaged 20 060 l.
