How do we cope with lactation and the mother-infant dyad exposed to lead?

How do we cope with lactation and the mother-infant dyad exposed to lead?

Refrigeration Science and Technology (1981-2): 185-187

A report is given of infants in Kuwait showing symptoms of Pb toxicity as a result of transfer of Pb via the placenta and/or mothers' milk. The problem of deciding on a feeding policy for these infants is discussed. The main source of Pb exposure was from eye cosmetics used extensively by Asian women. Pb content in 29 milk samples was 8-274 mu g/l (mean 74.6).
