The causes of non-comparable or even seemingly contradictory statistics on holidays are: (1) use of different definitions for holidays, arrival, tourist, etc, and the haphazard use of these concepts; (2) the use of various research methods; (3) using different test populations; and (4) the degree of completeness of the observations.
