How many berries per plant?

How many berries per plant?

Grower 100(4): 23-25

Flower truss initiation and structure in strawberries are discussed in relation to daylength, temperature and plant vigour. Observations on field-grown plants of 7 cvs showed that trusses were almost always limited at quaternary or quinary flower rank by the early termination of flower bud growth or by the failure of buds to grow at all. Domanil, followed by Tamella, had the most fully-developed flowers/truss and Pantagruella the fewest.
