How to formulate and solve 'optimal stand density over time' problems for even-aged stands using dynamic programming

How to formulate and solve 'optimal stand density over time' problems for even-aged stands using dynamic programming

General Technical Report, North Central Forest Experiment Station, USDA Forest Service (NC-56): ii + 17

An introduction to dynamic programming is given, and the procedure is used to solve 'optimal stand density over time' problems expressed as: (a), a network of simulated yields; or (b) a mathematical stand growth equation.
