Details are given of 2 cases of myiasis in the pharyngeal cavity caused by larvae ofthe cuterebrid Alouattamyia baeri (Shannon & Greene) in northern Brazil. In the first, an Indian woman aged 30 who had been treated with Tiabendazol because she presented with symptoms of cough, nausea, dyspnoea and a painful throat, expelled 6 larvae through the mouth.
