Induction of oestrus in non-cycling mares by administration of prostaglandin F2 alpha analogue (ONO-1052)

Induction of oestrus in non-cycling mares by administration of prostaglandin F2 alpha analogue (ONO-1052)

Bulletin of National Institute of Animal Industry, Japan (40): 25-29

55 Thoroughbred and 2 Anglo-Arab mares that had failed to exhibit oestrus for more than 1 month during the breeding season were treated with 0.1, 0.2 or 0.4 mg PGF2 alpha. 52 mares (86.7%) came into oestrus 1-9 days after treatment, and all except 2 subsequently ovulated.
