Insecticide resistance in houseflies Musca domestica (L.) in Czechoslovakia

Insecticide resistance was studied in 83 wild populations of Musca domestica L. collected on farms in Czechoslovakia in 1976-80. A consistently high level of resistance to trichlorphon was detected, and a considerable level of resistance to fenitrothion, dioxacarb, propoxur and bendiocarb was evident. Resistance to dimethoate began to be detected in 1980 on farms where this compound had only been in use for 3-5 years.
