Interactions of postemergence herbicide combinations on sicklepod

Proceedings 34th Annual Meeting Southern Weed Science Society: 249

Acifluorfen and bentazone at 0.25-0.75 lb/ac, 0-0.2 lb 2,4-DB/ac and 1-3 lb toxaphene (chlorinated camphene)/ac were applied alone or in combination to greenhouse-grown sicklepod (Cassia obtusifolia) at the 2- to 3-leaf stage. Computer-constructed surface models were created for each herbicide combination and interactions were determined from their algebraic functions. Bentazone showed negligible interaction with toxaphene, 2,4-DB and acifluorfen.
