This standard sets out methods for examination of all types of cream except sterilized and UHT cream. Procedures for sampling and sample preparation are described, and the direct microscopic count, standard plate count and tests for specific microorganisms described in Parts 1 and 3 of AS 1095 are specified as general tests.
