Net primary productivity and productive structure of Eucalyptus tereticornis Smith plantations grown in Gangetic Plain

Indian Forester 108(4): 261-269

Net primary productivity and productive structure of Eucalyptus tereticornis Smith plantations grown in Gangetic Plain

Data are presented on annual litter production, aboveground mean annual net production and underground mean and current net production in 3 girth classes of 5 plantations (5-9 yr old). Current annual net production (CANP) was more than mean annual net production (MANP) in above- and under-ground parts. Aboveground MANP was significantly correlated (r = 0.96) with photosynthetic biomass, and aboveground CANP with biomass (r = 0.94).
