Network of protected natural areas in the Western Caucasus and the role of the Caucasus Reserve

, : Network of protected natural areas in the Western Caucasus and the role of the Caucasus Reserve. Soviet Journal of Ecology 1982; 12(6): 322-327

Outline proposals are made for a single national park system linking the existing reserves, game parks and other protected natural areas (mapped). The Caucasus Biosphere Reserve would be the nucleus of the system. New connecting links would be added in the form of nature parks functioning as buffer zones and also including many tree species (pines, junipers etc.) not represented in the reserves.
