Non-specific resistance to pathogens induced systemically by local infection of cucumber with tobacco necrosis virus, Colletotrichum lagenarium or Pseudomonas lachrymans

Non-specific resistance to pathogens induced systemically by local infection of cucumber with tobacco necrosis virus, Colletotrichum lagenarium or Pseudomonas lachrymans

Phytopathologia Mediterranea 18: 129-134

Fewer lesions were produced after inoculation of the second leaves of cucumber plants with TNV if the first leaves had been previously infected with TNV, C. lagenarium or P. lachrymans, than if the first leaves were uninfected. A significant reduction in the number of TNV lesions produced by inoculating second leaves was detected with < 10 TNV lesions on the first leaves.
