Predators of Diaprepes abbreviatus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) larvae

Predators of Diaprepes abbreviatus (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) larvae

Florida Entomologist 651: 150-158

The eggs of Diaprepes abbreviatus (L.) are laid on the leaves of citrus trees, but the larvae attack the roots, after falling from the trees on hatching and remaining on the soil surface for a short time before entering it; during this phase they are very vulnerable to predation.
