Stool specimens from 305 people in 86 familes in Rajasthan, India, were examined for parasites. 78.7% had at least one parasitic infection. Hookworm (in 11.1%), Giardia lamblia (10.2%), Entamoeba histolytica (7.9%), Hymenolepis nana (5.2%) and Ascaris lumbricoides (1.0%) were the pathogenic species found.
